What is this tool for?

The Ranking Distribution tool shows how your keywords are spread across position buckets (1-3, 4-10, 11-20, 21-50, 51-100) and how that distribution changed between two time periods. It answers: are you moving keywords into clickable positions?

Why it matters for SEO

Not all ranking improvements are equal. Moving from position 50 to 30 has almost zero traffic impact, but moving from position 11 to position 8 can triple your clicks. This tool shows whether your SEO work is actually moving the needle where it counts. in the positions that generate traffic.

Key SEO & AI elements it impacts

  • Keyword visibility across position tiers
  • Progress tracking for SEO campaigns (are keywords moving up?)
  • Striking distance identification (positions 4-10 and 11-20)
  • Algorithm update impact assessment on ranking distribution
  • Content strategy validation. is new content entering the top 10?

What to expect by fixing it

You'll see at a glance whether your SEO strategy is working. A healthy trend shows keywords flowing from position 21-50 into 11-20, then into 4-10, and eventually into 1-3. If keywords are stuck or moving backward, it's a signal to change approach.
